From Fuzhou, the capital and largest city in the Fujian province of China comes this exquisite jasmine tea. The jasmine plant is grown at high elevations in the mountains.
Organic jasmine tea is scented using Jasmine blossoms. Jasmine blooms are picked (usually in the morning) and mixed or layered with the harvested tea leaves. They are left for days to absorb the soothing scent of the flowers. The tea is then separated from the flowers for sale.
Organic jasmine tea ingredients : Green tea (Camellia sinensis)
Brewing Instructions: Water temperature: 180 °F (not boiling), 2 grams tea per 8 ounces water, For sweet balance, steep 2-3 minutes.
For iced tea, steep 1 tablespoon, cool, and pour over ice.
Notes on tea strength:
We aim to provide times and temperatures that reduce the risk of allowing the actual tea leaves (or other delicate herbs in blends) to taste bitter due to too much steep time or to get scorched from too much heat.
If you desire a stronger cup, we suggest using more tea rather than a longer steep time to minimize the potential for a more bitter flavor.
